Dental bridges are a type of dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of one or more artificial teeth, called pontics, which are supported by neighboring natural teeth or dental implants. The natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap are known as abutment teeth, and they provide support for the bridge.
